Leveled Literacy Intervention

Location: Webster Media Center
Intended Audience: Staff who attended two day training in October
Time: 10:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Staff attending this session should bring along three consecutive running records of one child who may be giving them some difficulty as well as teacher resources.

Location: High School Media Center/Schools
Intended Audience: WHS ELA Department/Elementary Staff
Offered as an A.M. or P.M. Sectional

Elementary Staff: will work on ELA templates in individual buildings with grade level teams
Riverside Staff: will work on common core alignment in individual buildings
High School Staff: will meet in H.S. Media Center with Sid Larson in the morning session; can work as a team in the afternoon

Bring your walking shoes for this station to station exhibit of core instructional strategies (Tier I) employed by your peers. All teachers will be provided with a resource folder for newly acquired resources and ideas.

Using Active and Collaborative Structures to Differentiate Instruction in Inclusive Classrooms. Presenter: Dr. Paula Kluth is a consultant, author, advocate, and independent scholar who works with teachers and families to provide inclusive opportunities and to create more responsive and engaging schooling experiences for all learners.

*All secondary staff will attend this morning workshop unless previously scheduled a workshop through our C&I department.

Collaboration and Co-Teaching Strategies

Intended Audience: Anyone interested
Time: 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.


This is a lunch and learn session and you must register through the office of student services and special education. This is for the special education and regular education teacher teams that are contemplating sharing a class and co-teaching. Dr. Kelly Jewell, Professor of Education Department University Wisconsin Whitewater is our presenter.
